A free boat ride with amazing New York views.
Probably the best free boat ride in the world! Although intended to connect Staten Island residents to their jobs in lower Manhattan, the Staten Island Ferry is the best way to take in the spectacle of New York Harbor, from Wall Street’s skyscrapers and the Brooklyn Bridge to the Statue of Liberty. The Ferry runs every 20-30 minutes all day and takes about 30 minutes each way. Avoid rush hour when the deck is jammed with the sharp elbows of frazzled commuters.
