Expert review of La Rada
One of the best beaches on the western Costa del Sol – with a Blue Flag to prove it!
Estepona’s most popular beach is located right in the centre of town and has a 2.6 kilometre promenade full of traditional Spanish beach bars and an increasingly high number catering for the ‘international market'.
I’ve spent many hours lazing on La Rada’s golden sand, swimming in the clear waters - it’s not got a Blue Flag for nothing - and nipping off for some barbecued sardines at the beach bars. But if you’re a fan of jet-skiing, banana boats or kayaks, you’ll be well catered for too.
Price advice:
There are sunbeds dotted along the beach and the average price is six euros for the day, which includes a parasol and drinks table.
Expert tips:
For some of the freshest and tastiest seafood you’ll find anywhere, I highly recommend Restaurante La Rada, right opposite the beach of the same name. Don’t go home without trying the calamares.
