Expert review of Phoenix Park
I spend hours here walking, running, cycling and hanging out with friends - the Phoenix Park is a Dublin treasure and a great escape at any time of any day. Concerts, national events and hundreds of sporting events take place here all year round. The Zoo is on site, fantastic for families and there's a hop on hop off bus that will take you around Farmleigh House, The Phoenix Park Visitor Centre and Áras an Uachtaráin – the official residence of the President of Ireland where you can book a free tour on Saturdays with a ticket from the Visitor Centre (01 6770095). It's a beautifully landscaped 707 hectares (1752 acres) of escapism.
Free.
