Best for Culture - Expert review of The National Gallery of Ireland
If you're feeling overwhelmed or stressed out, this is where you're sure to find stress busting inspiration. An idyllic setting for some calm, time for thought or inspiration - I often pass a few hours at the National Gallery to escape the city chaos or to marvel at 15,000 works of art. The Gallery highlights include the
Yeats Museum, and works by Vermeer, Caravaggio, Picasso, Van Gogh and Monet, as well as paintings, drawings and sculptures dating from the 13th to the 20th century. It's a wonderful place for kids where there are free art trails and groups can book a guided tour or a private event. Free art workshops and lectures run throughout the year so make sure to check the website for current events and exhibitions. The cafe is cool too.
