Melt in your mouth Japanese food with a sexy atmosphere.

Blue Ribbon Sushi is my favorite sushi restaurant because of its great atmosphere and the mix of straightforward sushi with more inventive fare.

Food and drink: 

Among the highlights: the simply-named-but-hard-to-duplicate three radish salad, the dragon roll with eel and avocado and melt in your mouth sashimi.

Ambience: 

The bustling, dimly-lit room is lined with wood banquets filled with a fashionable and discreet crowd.

Service: 

Super friendly and knowledgeable, feel free to ask about dishes you’re not familiar with. No attitude.

Location: 

Great spot on a quiet side street in central SoHo.

Price advice: 

Main dishes are from US$14.50, Blue Ribbon Sushi rolls start at US$6 and a three-course meal without wine is about US$35 per person.

Tables to book: 

This is another no-reservations spot so expect a wait if you arrive after 7pm.
