Expert review of Bodega Stratvs
Lanzarote's finest bodega restaurant, in a lovely setting with a wine list to match.
The Terraza-Grill restaurant is a very welcome adjunct to the state-of-the-art Stratvs Bodega. It's a lovely spot – as long as a tour group hasn't just arrived – and the menu makes the most of the island's freshest ingredients.
Food and drink:
The dishes here – salads, fish and meat – are all accomplished; unpretentious but with plenty of flourish. Wines, of course, are from the Stratvs stable and as sophisticated as the setting.
Ambience:
The breezy terrace, covered by a canopy to protect lunchers from the sun, is a charming setting for lunch, which tends to be a relaxed, boozy affair.
Service:
Unflappable staff seem to cope well, even when a large bus tour descends on them.
Location:
It's in the Stratvs Bodega , where wines can be tasted and purchased, on the main road that dissects La Geria, the island's wine region.
Price advice:
Prices are very fair: mains hover around 15 euros for an entree.
