Expert review of Amante Beach Club
Cliff-side modern Mediterranean restaurant with private beach and million dollar views.
Location, location, location! While the truly amazing setting would be enough to entice me to Amante, I’m happy to report the food, atmosphere and service really does match the views. A tip for the guys… if you plan on proposing, this is the spot (Amante means lover in Spanish). it's also where I met my idol Kylie Minogue at her recent album launch!
Food and drink:
Modern Mediterranean cuisine with an Italian influence, with plenty of fine meats and fresh seafood straight from the grill.
Recommended dishes:
The Spanish lobster rice is a house speciality and the homemade beef burger is one of the most popular menu items. I have a particular soft spot for the side dish of roast spuds with the amazing steak.
Ambience:
I really, really, really love Amante – it’s blissfully chilled by day, lovely for lazy long lunches followed by some time on the sand and from sunset, it’s such a great romantic spot for dinner. Quite a grown up crowd, with lots of locals too.
Service:
Generally very good, though occasionally things can get a bit mixed up in the peak of summer.
Location:
This has to be one of the most spectacular settings on the whole island. While all the tourist trappings of Cala Llonga are to the left, once you’ve taken then fateful right hand turn down a dirt track, the reward at the end (just one minute away) is the spectacular cliff and private beach of Sol D’en Serra. Amante has the privilege of being the sole restaurant and bar here.
Price advice:
Main meals come in between 15 and 30 euros. Special set menus for occasions such as the full moon rising (a must-see) are 45 euros per person.

The Laurent Perrier Amante Table is an amazing private table for two that’s completely private, making you feel like you’re the only couple on the cliff, with private waiter service and a special set menu to boot.
