A local institution that you'll want to go back to time and again!
I’ve never not had a good time at Robbie’s! And that’s the reason I love strolling through the historic town and ending up at this legendary restaurant. With the dishes named after old film stars (Judy Garland et al), and every inch of the place covered in ostentatious Hollywood memorabilia, it’s camp and fun and there’s always an imaginative show of some kind – I won’t ruin the surprise! But it’s also all about the food, which is criminally underrated.
Food and drink:
From tender steaks to perfectly grilled fish dishes and properly-portioned desserts, you won’t leave disappointed. Go order yourself a Grace Kelly and Marilyn Monroe.
Ambience:
It's uplifting and party-like. There are Andy Warhol images of Marilyn and old photographs of Brigitte Bardot everywhere, as well as a huge Statue of Liberty at the entrance. Your food is served on old 78rpm records. It’s that kind of place. Fancy a 'celebration' meal? Do it here.
Service:
Over the last 30 years, Robbie has rightly earned a reputation for being incredibly hospitable. The service is quirky, fun and informal.
Location:
It’s about 100 metres from the tourist office on Calle Nueva. Turn left on to Calle Jubrique and Robbie’s is on the left.
Price advice:
A three-course meal and wine comes to about 60 euros per person.
